8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
~ Hebrews 13: 8 NKJV
Christians are vessels unto honor whose soul purpose is revealing the divinity of Christ Jesus to humanity. As we are transformed into Christ’s same image, we are the expression of God’s glory in every generation.
Don’t you mean “sole purpose”? In fact, I do. The single most important purpose of the creation of each soul is to glorify God. In everything. With all we have. (1 Cor. 10:31) From the beginning of time, to the end of eternity.
Imagine living life doing what you love, what God has created you to do and who He purposed you to be. Living to glorify God forever.
That sounds like, well… Heaven! We are the sneak-peak of the manifest presence of God here on earth! And even in eternity, we will get to enjoy the fullness of that glory and presence. That is the conclusion of the whole matter. What God ordained in the very beginning- relationship with HIM.
The issue here is, the opportunity to experience this eludes many in 2025 because there is just One way to the One true God, One truth about Who He is, and the highest life form hidden in Him. To touch God, you go through Christ Who is the Way, Truth and Life! (John 14:6) And to go through Christ, we must be transformed into Him. To be Christ-like. To be Christian.
BUT God’s standard in year 1 remain the same even in year 2025!

Because God does not change and cannot change, neither can His standards for those choosing to be His children. It’s a different story for people who have not yet decided to come unto Him. Those unfortunately follow the standards the world presents to them. (Until they encounter us and come unto the salvation of Jesus, though! wink! wink!)
Christians now more than ever must express Christ’s image and embody that identity. We are His hands, eyes, soldiers, ambassadors, and more. Through the Holy Spirit, Christians are just as Christ was when He walked the earth. In this year and beyond, we can make God proud and showcase His glory!
Below are a 6 ways Christ shows us to be like Him!
All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out."
~John 6:37 NKJV
That you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God;"
~colossians 1:10 NKJV
Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;"
~Philippians 1:6 NKJV
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God."
~Romans 12:2 NKJV
1.) LOVE like Christ:
It’s not longer enough to love everyone the way we love ourselves. The Bible in John 13:34-35 lets us know we will be known as Christians, as Christ’s disciples, without a doubt, by loving the way HE loves. UNCONDITIONALLY. Without condition. Whether the person is blood or not. Whether they want us crucified or crowned,
2.) Seek God:
Jesus THE CHRIST. The Son of the living God. The incarnate Word. God Himself! He took time to seek God! Who in the WORLD do we think we are not to do the same!?!
He fasted (Matt. 4:1-11); He obeyed the Holy Spirit’s leading into the wilderness (Mark 1:12-15); He vulnerably shared His feelings (Luke 22:41-43); He knew the Word (Himself! haha maybe that’s why He was so quick with it). All these things Jesus did so He could be led by the Father, involving God in every aspect of His earth journey. AND so He can share it with people through teachings and manifestations of power.
To introduce the Kingdom of God, we must have knowledge about it and about the One who owns the Kingdom. We must acknowledge God in everything and keep Him at the center of it all.
*Do not forget that this does not happen overnight. Knowing God is a journey! (Follow us on IG and join our mailing list to be part of a community of youth on this journey! We give each other tips, Scriptures, pray for each other and keep each other accountable in building our relationships with God.)*
3.) CORRECT, not condemn in Love:
Yes, Jesus flipped tables. But He did it to show that if you truly loved Him, you would not turn His temple in Amazon 2.0. He chastened the disciples several times when they did not have enough faith or even when they wanted to call down fire on a town of Samaritans. Every chance God gets, He corrects us gently or firmly, with love being the driving force.
God doesn’t reveal our wrongdoings to magnify His righteousness, but corrects so His righteousness may be magnified in us.
4.) LOOK like Christ:
Modest and simple, yet not dingy and shabby where the cloak He wore to die could not be used to cast lots. (John 19:23-24) This doesn’t mean killing ourselves to afford only luxury and brand name item, no! It simply means maintaining our hygiene, being bold and confident and dressing clean and decent. Through salvation, we descend from a ROYAL bloodline. As such, we must look the part.
Our bodies are also the temple (ACTIVE dwelling place!) of Yahweh, so let’s eat well so we can use this body for all God needs it for before our time expires. Our world must stop poisoning ourselves through what we intake;
Christ HAD to die but these days we eat like we WANT to!
5.) RELATE with the world:
The Bible clearly tells us not to be conformed to this world, so we make every endeavor to obey. But there’s no argument that for the meantime, we are in this world. As carriers of His glory (you and I), it is impossible to showcase this glory locked in the house.
In isolation, God is revealed to us, not through us!
Go to weddings! It may not be in Cana, but God can do miracles anywhere. Walk (or fly) miles, travelling with friends. On the way, there are so many people to share God’s love with. Enjoy supper with friends, and even foes. Jesus knew the role Judas would play in His death, and gave him a seat at the table regardless. Go! Sit by water-wells and meet people who can be transformed so greatly by the testimony of Christ Jesus that they shout it to the world!
We are God’s vessels and must be useful in introducing a perfect Kingdom to a lost humanity!
6.) LIVE like Christ:
Everyone must fulfill the purpose for which they were made. For some this fulfillment will be through career or marriage and family. For some this looks like Youtube, starting a blog, or even doing mission trips all over the world! For Christ, this was literally living to die for the redemption of the world.
The opportunities with which God can use us is limitless.
